The software is 3.2mb in size and is the world’s first “selection-based search” system given the name Kallout which is a complete freeware. You can access the web and integrate them on your offline documents which serves as excellent reference material for any purpose.Lets move on to check some of it’s web features

  • Place the Search bar anywhere on your desktop for quick and easy access
  • Customize the Search Bar keyboard shortcut using the Settings option
  • Smart Best Guess search suggestions feature
  • Select any word or phrase and access additional content without leaving the page
  • Access the latest multi-media content (e.g., videos, photos)
After you install kallout application a small icon tray will be appearing in the task bar which shows the program is running. So now you can select any text while using offline products where you will see a small KallOut icon appear. You can access a small pop-up menu that displays several different search options.
Just as customizable firefox addon you can also choose to customize Kallout from several different search providers including Google, Live Search, Yahoo Search, and Technorati. You can also search reference sites like Wikipedia and Dictionary.com.Or sites like youtube and flickr.Currently this application supports Windows XP and Windows Vista.
A pretty good application for fast reference, easy understanding and to gain extra knowledge. Also  no need to open the browser anymore for searching any terms. Now this really eases reading comprehension by accessing/researching quickly on any new topic which you may encounter!
